Assistant/Associate Professor; Horticulture
Position description: The School of Integrative Plant Science (SIPS) at Cornell University (https://sips.cals.cornell.edu) invites applications for a tenure track professorial position (60% Research: 40% Extension) in Horticulture, with emphasis on the Physiology of Fruit Crop Adaptation to Climate Change. A variety of research methods may be employed to address the complexity of plant physiology and environmental interactions with an emphasis on elucidating mechanisms underlying the interaction between fruit crops and climate change. Relevant methods may include whole plant physiological approaches; digital agriculture approaches; as well as molecular and –omics approaches. The individual is expected to collaborate with genomicists, geneticists, breeders, management researchers, post-harvest physiologists and extension educators to develop or improve practical solutions that maximize fruit-crop quality and production in NY State and beyond in the context of climate change.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Physiology / Biology, Ecology or related disciplines. The candidate must be able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural setting and create a collegial professional environment.
