Pepperdine University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Biology. Applicants should have a Ph.D. (completed. by June 2021) in eco-physiology, marine biology, physiology, or a related discipline. Well-qualified candidates will be able to contribute to the excellence and vibrancy of the Pepperdine experience through their teaching, research, and service to both Pepperdine and our surrounding community. 

As teaching is our foremost emphasis at Seaver College (http://seaver.pepperdine.edu/about/mission/), candidates should demonstrate exceptional interest and effectiveness in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Well-equipped laboratories are provided for teaching and research. Candidates should expect to establish an independent, productive research program with undergraduate students and engage them in scholarly research. Our location provides easy access to many coastal habitats including rocky intertidal, sandy beach, kelp forest, estuarine, and riparian field sites.
