New Mexico State University (NMSU) Department of Animal & Range Sciences seeks a 12month Assistant/Associate Professor of Rangeland Ecology. The appointment will be 75% teaching and 25% research.  It is envisioned that the successful candidate will establish a nationally recognized program in ecology, and ecosystem management with an emphasis in rangelands. Potential focus areas within this framework are broad and will be dictated by the breadth of candidates applying. Other areas of research may include sustainability and assessment of rangelands under climate change impacts.

Position requires a Ph.D. (in hand by hire date) in rangeland resources, ecology, natural resources, or closely related field with a preferred emphasis in range plant systematics, ecology, or ecosystem management.
