Bates College, a private, highly selective, residential college in Lewiston, Maine, is devoted to undergraduate study in the liberal arts. The Department of Biology and the Program in Neuroscience invite applications for a two-year full time Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning August 1, 2023. Ph.D. is required by the start date. We would be interested in a wide-range of candidates who specialize in neuroscience at the cellular and/or molecular scale.
Teaching responsibilities (5 courses) will include contributions to the biology, general education, and neuroscience curricula (e.g.,100-level general education neuroscience course, course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE) course at the 100-level, upper-level neurobiology course with lab, and upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of specialty).
