The College of Idaho invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology to start in Fall 2024. We seek candidates whose teaching, research, and service will contribute to our commitment to an equitable and inclusive learning and work environment.
The successful candidate will have a background in a biomedically-related field such as molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, or microbiology; a strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate courses in a liberal-arts context; and an interest in developing a research program that includes collaboration with undergraduate students. Primary responsibilities include teaching required core courses and upper-division courses that align with the candidate’s expertise. The normal annual teaching load is 21 credits distributed between fall and spring semesters and a 1-month January term. Research startup funds are available. A completed PhD in Biological Sciences or closely-related discipline is required prior to beginning employment.
