About EarthAcre
EarthAcre’s mission is to mitigate climate change and biodiversity collapse with community knowledge and technology. We fully recognize that indigenous and local communities are the key to protecting nature and healthy ecosystems— 80% of the planet’s biodiversity is on indigenous lands. EarthAcre deploys cutting edge technologies to enable such communities to quantify, measure, and monetize their natural assets as they safeguard and restore them.
EarthAcre’s goal is to scale into indigenous and local community ecosystems across the globe, ensuring that communities’ knowledge, biodiversity protection and carbon removal are viewed as competitive advantages in an age of climate change and biodiversity collapse. EarthAcre works closely with the Harvard University Davies Lab, which uses high-resolution remote sensing to understand how animals influence ecosystem structure and function, including carbon and nutrient cycling, at landscape scales. Our investors include Terra Labs, a platform from Okavango Capital Partners that is accelerating innovation in Payment for Ecosystems Services (PES), and Enza Capital, which invests in companies using technology to solve large and meaningful problems across Africa.
