Berea College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Sustainability and Environmental Studies. The successful applicant will teach courses in the Sustainability and Environmental Studies (SENS) program which are part of an interdisciplinary Environmental Science major, as well as courses that contribute to the SENS minor and general education program. Successful candidates will have a PhD in an interdisciplinary sustainability-related field with experience in natural science and one or more of the following: policy, social sciences, law, or design. Examples of potential fields include ecology, urban ecology, climate science, urban planning or design, environmental law, environmental policy, environment and public health, renewable energy production , environmental engineering  or similar. Likely courses to be taught include: Introduction to Sustainability, Environmental Justice, and/or Ecology, as well as newly developed courses in their field that will serve the environmental sciences major, sustainability minor, and/or general education requirement in sustainability for all students.
